Are you ready for Valentine’s Day?

In this episode of SLP Coffee Talk, I’m sharing some low-prep therapy ideas that you can use with your older speech students with a Valentine’s Day theme.

Often we think that this holiday might be more fitting for your younger students with some basic activities that focus on love words and red things. But we can totally incorporate the theme with our older speech students as well!

Anything that they might be motivated by, we can utilize in our speech room to elicit a ton of language.

So I’m sharing five low-prep therapy ideas that you can use to get your students engaged in meeting their speech goals this Valentine’s Day that are completely free! I am all about taking these few activities and using them all week. They are all versatile enough to be used for multiple goals and multiple different groups.

In This Episode You’ll Discover:

  • How you can use Simon’s Cat videos this Valentine’s Day
  • How to use Art Club Hub to work on speech goals
  • The perfect short film to use in speech
  • Why I love using Mystery Dog with my students
  • My favorite Valentine’s Day game on Bamboozle

Whether you’re working on fluency, complex sentence structure, social skills, or vocabulary, you can use these resources. The sky really is the limit! I use them with my speech students and never run out of engaging activities to do.

Are you planning to use any of these this Valentine’s Day? Let me know! Send me a DM on Instagram and tell me what you think!
