Advanced MTB Prep Day

Pupils that are heading to Scotland in half-term to ride the challenging tracks on the Tweed Valley ventured to Hebden Bridge on Saturday for a prep day to see everyone’s level and areas to work on.

The aim was to replicate the level of riding and physical demands of a day they’ll have on the trip. This meant multiple ascents and descents of Stoodley Pike before lunch, then more long climbs and descents on the other side of the valley.

There was chance to isolate some sections and spend some time coaching line choice and riding style. It was great to see improvements in the short session and things look very positive for next week.

Another great day out covering 22 miles and 3,000ft of ascent, with some varied and challenging terrain.
