We’ve been enormous Loog fans since the early days of Rose & Rex. They were bestsellers in our shop year after year, due to their kid-friendly size and stunning design. These are real guitars that help children acquire the skills and confidence they’ll need to play larger guitars one day. As a team of educators, we love that every Loog guitar comes with educational tools that support our littles ones as they grow (into bigger kids) and develop (into musicians or simply major music lovers).
Here are 5 ways to play with the Loog of your choice:
Surprise someone you love with a modern-day singing telegram. Whether you spontaneously FaceTime a friend or arrive at a relative’s front door, all you need is your Loog and a little musical courage. Silly costumes are totally optional!
Learn something new. One of the things we love most about Loog guitars is that they make it so easy and fun for kids to learn how to play real songs from the very beginning. Check out the included flash cards, the app, and the free video lessons and learn how to play your very first song!
Host a BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument) playdate or holiday gathering. Together, have a casual jam session or rehearse a favorite song. If your guests forget their instruments, invite them to shake boxes of dried pasta and practice their percussion skills. If you’re feeling really generous, maybe you’ll even lend your Loog for a song or two.
Tidy up with a game of “Freeze Cleanup.” Work together to tidy up your home… as quickly as you can. Take turns making some music on your Loog. When the guitarist is playing, you clean. When the music stops, you freeze! For a competitive spin, have one person playing the Loog while everyone else cleans individual rooms. See who can clean up his or her room the fastest!
Reconnect after a long day with a family dance party. Grab your Loog and get moving! Share some of your latest original tunes or play along with your favorite artist. Challenge yourself to be fully present during this time by turning all screens off and tucking phones out of sight. This simple shared experience can turn a rough moment (or entire day) around.
